There's an old, wise spiritual saying that says...
"One should seek wisdom like a woman whose hair is on fire would seek water."
Well that's a rather extreme example...and we could probably say that a healthy balance of curiosity would still serve. The point is however made clear.
Grant and I(Waran) as souls who have found themselves in a teaching position and posession of a yoga school are always seeking further understanding in the art of life and living. You won't find us far away from a book, meditation or mindful pursuit of purpose on any given day. We encourage and invite you to keep a running study stream to continue to expand your mind to a universe of infinite possibility and groovy evolution-baby-yeah!
We'll continue to build this window to the soul's world as the months go by and invite you to send us your suggestions if you happen to come across something that rocked your heart-mental world.
Reinvent the Body, Ressurect the Soul- Deepak's latest and sequel to his mind-body medicine classic Ageless body, Timeless Mind. My review...even more succinct than the first and absolutely brilliant in its clarity and wisdom in understanding how to finesse the spirit-mind-body experience of life as we know it (or think we know).
My latest read has been two very brilliant, expansive works. A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and
Life After Death by Deepak Chopra. Be on the wave of new thought and read these books.
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga by Deepak Chopra- You'll often hear Grant or I reading from this brilliant and accessible text that not only gives you a great and easy understanding of the history and theory of yoga, but also some great daily tools to bring harmony and purpose to one's life. A highly recommended read.
Ka by Roberto Calasso- An intricate and interpretive mosaic of Indian mythology. Probably one of the best poetic interpretations I have come across. Be warned, this is for the serious literary. Complex yet sublime, it's like a well-aged cabernet from the deepest grotto of the palace.
Power Freedom and Grace- by Deepak Chopra- We're drawn to Deepak's work as he has the ability to keep these profound ideas and their understanding in a way that's accessible and inspiring. An easy 200 page or so read and great if you're about to go on holiday somewhere fabulous or just quiet.
